This application is designed by a team of educators with the trainee in mind. Registration is free and allows the trainee to see all the trainers available for each subject in our database. All of our trainers have been screened and interviewed by TalentAtoZ before becoming part of our team. The trainee can view the trainer's educational credentials, past teaching experience, and reviews.
The process begins with the trainee choosing the trainer whose subject knowledge, teaching style, rating, and credentials best meets and complements the trainee’s needs. Once the trainee decides on a trainer, the trainee can send the trainer a request to be registered in a specific session through our application. The trainee has the freedom to anonymously rate the trainer after the completion of the session, and the trainee is not obligated to use that trainer in the future.
There are two session styles the trainee can choose from: on-demand, one-on-one sessions. Each session is exactly one hour long. In each type of session, there is real-time interaction between the trainer and the trainee using our virtual whiteboard.
As soon as a trainee registers for a session and the trainer has accepted the registration, the trainee will immediately pay for that session with a credit card or through an accredited PayPal account. The trainee will be confirmed for any specific session only after the payment has been made. Please note that trainees under the age of 18 will need a parent or a legal guardian to register for sessions through TalentAtoZ.
The trainee will not be charged if the trainer cancels the session. The trainee can withdraw or cancel any one-on-one provided the cancellation is done at least 6 hours prior to the start of the particular session, and the trainee will be refunded 100% of the trainering fee. However, if the trainee drops or withdraws from the session after it has started or with less than 6 hours before the start of the session, the trainee will forfeit 100% of the trainering fee. Fees cannot be refunded for on-demand sessions because of their immediate-need nature. If you are not satisfied, the parent or the legal guardian of the trainee has 24 hours to appeal the quality of instruction to the administration after the completion of the session.
All trainees must have access to the Internet and audio visual capabilities on their computer.
Here are the steps of how it works:
Fill out the Sign Up form and you will receive a confirmation email. Open this email to complete the registration process. Please remember your email is your username. Log in using your username/password.
Now you are in your Dashboard. We encourage you to explore all the different sections and familiarize yourself with the site.
The next step is to click on Find a trainer. Select the subject, grade level, or session type in which you are interested, and all trainers who are available to teach that subject/grade level/session type will appear. Click on the View Profile link to see more information about each trainer.
Select the type of session that interests you. There are two types of sessions: on-demand, one-on-one sessions. Select your trainer and Send a Request.
After receiving confirmation from your trainer, you can pay using a credit card or through an accredited PayPal account.
All your current sessions, completed sessions, expired sessions as well as your cancelled sessions will appear under the Sessions section in your Dashboard. If for some reason you need to cancel a session, please click on the cancel button under Current Sessions at least six hours in advance of the scheduled time for a full refund.
At the scheduled time, click on the link under Current Sessions (which is under the section Sessions) in your Dashboard to meet with the trainer using the virtual whiteboard.
How do I find the trainer?
Click on the Find a trainer button in your Dashboard or click on What we offer on the Home Page to see all the trainers.
How do I register for a session?
If you are interested in any subject session, then click on the Register link on the trainer's profile page to register.
What happens after I click on the Register link?
You will be directed to the trainer’s session Schedule page. You will click on the link under Register and a request will be sent to the trainer.
What happens after I send a request to the trainer?
As soon as the request has been sent, the trainer will receive the request and respond back to the trainee. You will get a message in the system's messaging system as well as in your email. This message will confirm if you have a spot in that session.
How do I pay for the session?
You can pay using a credit card or an accredited PayPal account. You can pay only after the trainer has sent the confirmation.
How many types of sessions do you have?
There are two types of sessions: on-demand and one-on-one.
What is an on-demand session?
The on-demand session is useful when there is an immediate need for help from a trainer. For example, if you have homework due tomorrow and need immediate assistance in Algebra, then you look up trainers who can help you in Algebra and contact them via chat or email to see if they are willing to help immediately. If any trainer is willing and available, then you pay the fee and join the session. On-demand sessions are always a one-on-one experience.
What is a one-on-one session?
In a one-on-one session, you get personalized help from a trainer. You view trainer profiles and choose the trainer who has the expertise you are seeking. You send a request to that trainer, and once the trainer confirms your spot in the session, you pay for the session and join the session at the designated time.
What if I decide to withdraw or drop out from the session?
You are able to withdraw from or drop out of a one-on-one or group session but not on-demand sessions. If you drop six hours prior to the start of a one-on-one or group session, you will get 100% of your fees back. If the one-on-one or group session has already begun or it is less than 6 hours until it begins and you decide to drop, you will not get your trainering fees back. You will not be refunded for any on-demand sessions.
What if the trainer cancels a session?
If the trainer cancels a session then you will be given a 100% refund for that session. If it is a group session and a trainer cancels one specific session, you will be refunded for that one session unless the trainer chooses to make up the session at a different time. If you are not available for the make-up lesson, you will be refunded 100% of the fee for that one session.
What if I do not like how the trainer taught the session?
You have 24 hours to appeal, and TalentAtoZwill decide whether to refund your fees.
How long is each type of session?
Each session is one hour.
How will the trainer teach the trainees?
The trainer will use a virtual collaborative whiteboard which allows the trainees and trainer to interact. The online whiteboard has real-time audio, document upload, text-chat, and more.
Which time zone does the application follow?
We follow the Eastern Standard Time (EST). Therefore, all the sessions scheduled will be based EST.
Will my payment be securely processed?
Absolutely. We use PayPal to process credit card payments and accept payments made through personal PayPal accounts. PayPal is the largest online payment company in the world and has been used and trusted by millions.
Can I use a stylus pen such as a Wacom stylus in this application?
Yes, you can use one. In fact, it is convenient while using the virtual whiteboard.
Is your application compatible with iPads and Android tablets?
The application will work but the virtual whiteboard (which is used during every session by the trainer and trainee) will not work on iPads and only on some Android-based tablets.
